Elementary School Teacher is someone who identifies with the school’s Mission and Philosophy and uses them as a guide in all school activities. He/she cares for the welfare of each student, his/her intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

• Teaches assigned subjects and completes the curriculum adopted by the school. The English language should be used at all times.• Demonstrates accurate and up-to-date knowledge of curriculum and subject matter. • Develops lesson plans in accordance with the school curriculum and publishes these plans in the school’s information system. • Uses a variety of instructional strategies, such as learning centers, inquiry, group discussions, lecture, discovery, games, songs, etc. that will help students be an active part in building their knowledge. • Establishes and communicates clear objectives for all learning activities. • Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. • Uses a variety of instructional strategies, such as inquiry, group discussions, lecture, discovery, games, songs, etc. that will help students be an active part in building their knowledge. • Plans and uses appropriate instructional/learning strategies, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodation for individual needs of students assigned. • Has updated knowledge of relevant technology and uses it appropriately and frequently. • Establishes and communicates clear objectives for all learning activities and evaluates student learning according to the school’s Assessment Policy. • Maintains accurate records and provides feedback promptly on students’ assessment results and graded work. • Reflects on teaching and assesses learning to guide for the future. • Participates in curriculum development as required and works with others to plan and coordinate vertical and horizontal alignment. • Plans and uses appropriate instructional/learning strategies, materials, and equipment that reflect accommodation for varying individual student needs. • Establishes a respectful, positive relationship with all students. (using the model of Jesus, the teacher.) • Follows the school’s conduct policy as stated in the Faculty Manual to establish a high standard of student behavior. • Keeps classroom and all other school property clean, organized and well-functioning in order to create a comfortable and attractive learning environment. • Monitors his/her students’ performance in other classes and school related activities. • Engages students in faith-based activities such as daily prayer and school masses, among others.

Reporta a Reports to Secondary School Principal.

Supervisa a Collaborates with Curriculum Coordinator and Secondary School Counselors.Supervises students, students’ activities, advisory group, and clubs when the case applies.

Requisitos

  • Experiencia Deseada: Two years’ experience preferred but not required.
  • Nivel Académico: U.S bachelor’s or master’s Degree in Education or related field or local degree in Education or related degree with English fluency.
  • Idiomas: Inglés bilingue
