The Director of Athletics will lead the day-to-day operations of the athletic department, inspiring athletes, coaches, and families while promoting a healthy lifestyle in collaboration with the academic team. This position reports directly to the Director General.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the Athletic Handbook for students, parents, and coaches.
- Oversee academic and behavioral eligibility of student-athletes.
- Organize and manage the physical education and extracurricular program in coordination with the academic team.
- Lead and mentor coaches and staff, providing feedback and evaluations.
- Manage events, logistics, transportation, and safety for all athletic activities.
- Oversee the athletic budget, fundraising, and facility improvements.
- Champion communication and visibility of athletics through social media, website, and newsletters.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Sports Management, or related field.
- 5 years of experience as an Athletics Director in educational institutions (preferred).
- Experience in leadership, strategic planning, and mentoring.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Strong computer skills.
